Kansas Ballet Company Presents Carnival of the Animals

Step into a magical world where music, movement and imagination bring the animal kingdom to life.

Kansas Ballet Company’s 2026 Summer Showcase is the culmination of four weeks of intensive training with Kansas Ballet faculty and visiting guest teachers and choreographers.

The evening will be presented in two parts. The first half will feature choreography and repertoire learned and created during the Summer Intensive, including works in a variety of dance styles and pieces being prepared for the upcoming season.

The second half will feature Carnival of the Animals, a colorful and imaginative family ballet inspired by the beloved music of Camille Saint-Saëns. Through beautiful dancing, playful characters, creative costumes and theatrical storytelling, a delightful collection of animals will come alive on the TPAC stage.

Perfect for children, families, first-time ballet audiences and longtime dance lovers, this joyful summer production offers a special evening of live theater for all ages.

All proceeds from the performance will support Kansas Ballet Company’s nonprofit community outreach programs, helping expand access to ballet education, workshops and performances throughout Topeka.
